The Dar es Salaam Islamic Club (DIC) is a unique socio-religious organization based in Dar es Salaam. It brings together Muslims from diverse backgrounds to share ideas, build friendships, and collaborate without discrimination. DIC provides a welcoming and peaceful environment where Muslims can learn, relax, and socialize in line with Islamic values.
One of the Club’s proud achievements is the ownership and operation of a beach facility in Kigamboni, along the Indian Ocean. This facility is open to people of all faiths and offers a family-friendly, alcohol-free space for recreation, retreats, and outdoor sports.
Our Mission
To promote unity, tolerance, and progress among Muslims, while also fostering peaceful coexistence and mutual respect between Muslims and non-Muslims. We are committed to supporting Islamic education, culture, and healthy recreation.
Our Project Vision
In addition to the Kigamboni beach facility, DIC runs a school, operates mosques, and has secured beach plots in Tanga and Mtwara for future development. The Club is also planning to build a multi-purpose hall in Mwananyamala, next to its headquarters, to host weddings, banquets, and other events. This venue will be available for hire and will serve the broader community in a dignified and inclusive manner.
